The short version

  • levelsio edited a 10-minute vlog inside Claude Code with Opus 5.5 from a folder of DJI clips.
  • The run transcribed his speech with mlx-whisper and he says he only made a few adjustments afterward.
  • There is no public build, download, or official page yet, only the short preview he showed.

What levelsio actually did

My vlog today was fully edited by Claude Code with Opus 5.5!

On November 1, 2026, levelsio described a vlog he treated as fully edited by Claude Code with Opus 5.5. The workflow he spelled out is deliberately plain: copy the clips from his DJI camera into a folder, open Claude Code in that folder, and ask it to turn the footage into a 10-minute vlog.

He said he made a few adjustments afterward, and not a lot of them. Speech was transcribed with mlx-whisper. The demonstration also covered looking through frames, separating voices, and producing a cover plus subtitles, all from that same folder-based session.

Why creators and developers are paying attention

This is awesome. I'm gonna do this.

Video editing is usually a timeline job: you scrub, mark in and out points, drop titles, and burn hours on a cut that viewers finish in minutes. levelsio's preview flips that sequence. The model works on the files already sitting in a directory, hears the spoken track through mlx-whisper, and returns a shaped 10-minute piece instead of a pile of suggestions.

For ordinary creators, the interesting part is how little he claims to have touched after the first pass. For developers, it is a concrete use of Claude Code outside of writing software: point an agent at media, give it one outcome, and let transcription, frame inspection, voice separation, a cover, and subtitles fall out of the same run. A viewer who liked the result said they were going to try it, and asked whether levelsio was still the one placing timestamps and a photo overlay of Peter.

  • Folder in, cut out

Raw DJI clips went into a folder; Claude Code was opened there and asked for a 10-minute vlog.

  • Speech as the spine

mlx-whisper transcribed everything he said, giving the edit a text track to follow.

  • Light human pass

levelsio says the follow-up changes were few, which is the claim people are testing against their own footage.

What is still unanswered

The preview does not publish a reusable prompt, a project file, or a step list you can run yourself. No public build, download, or official page exists yet. What you can see is the finished idea and levelsio's short account of how the folder, Claude Code, Opus 5.5, and mlx-whisper fit together.

Open questions sit right on the cut. How much of the timestamps, overlays, and pacing came from the model versus those few adjustments? How well voice separation and frame reading hold up on messier shoots than a single-creator vlog? Watch whether levelsio shares the exact edit process, and whether other people can repeat a 10-minute cut from a folder of camera clips without rebuilding the timeline by hand.
